A week or two ago one of "my" layotus was picked as layout of the day on Scrapjazz - but since it was a scraplift I was excited but not as excited as I would have been if I had dreamed it up on my own! lol

I was thrilled a few weeks ago when I got an email from Sheridan (part of the Scrapjazz Blue Crew). She was writing an article about a sketch she created and needed a few examples of pages based on her sketch. I am always up for a good sketch challenge so of course I said yes!
Today her article is featured on Scrapjazz and my layout is in it! SO fun!

What a GREAT mail day!!! I received my complimentary summer issue of Canadian Scrapbooker and my "Fisherman" layout is in it!!! I'm SO excited! The coolest part is that two of my girls - Stacey (ubergoober) and Tina (stampitchick/barebellies) are published in it too! Here is a quick shot that I took of the page that my layout is on...

I'm still in a state of shock over here - but here's my latest news.... I WON the Sassavivor contest (which means that I was able to spend $100 in the Sassacraft store - and I picked ALL of the new Cherry Arte papers - YAY)!!!!
There were 7 people on the jury that had to vote for someone in the final five to win and after a tie breaker re-vote.... they announced, in a live chat, that I had won! WOO HOO!!! - thanks girls for voting for me! I'm thrilled and amazing all at the same time!
Part of the contest was that we were also all playing for a spot on the Design Team. During the live chat with all of the players, she continued on to annouce all of the Guest Design Team members (YAY to some of my favorite girls who were picked!!!) and THEN - as if winning the contest wasn't already enough, Angie announced that she chose me to be the new DT member! I was speechless - literally! - I ran to tell Ron and Guillaume and then came back to the chat and was - well - still speechless!
Can't wait to play with the first DT kit - the girls over there have put together some FUN kits!!!

I am amazed that I have made it this far in this contest! My name is in the list of the top 12 contestants! Woo Hoo! - That means that I have a spot on the jury if I don't make it any further - SO excited about that!
This week we had to use the word SOUL as well as a song lyric on our page. Here is my page... about Tevon - his guitar and his love for our Lord!

I have been scrapbooking for close to 10 years but only recently started entering my work in online contests and submitting some of them to magazines. I look forward to trying out for more contests and submitting my pages to a few more magazines this year.
